Vintage 1930’s Art Deco Tallboy Dresser Hand Painted

This one is definitely a statement piece with all of it’s pretty carvings and trim details. I painted this in a custom mix of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in three colors. Coco, Graphite & Old Ochre. The trim is done in AS Old White. I applied dark wax for depot of color and then clear wax to seal. All hardware is original except the two vintage glass knobs. I love the little center cabinet on this piece and also the bottom drawer is cedar lined, perfect for sweaters! This piece is now available for sale in my Etsy Shop. 😊

Vintage cabinet revamp

This is just such a beautiful piece to begin with but the finish wasn’t in good shape so I didn’t feel bad about painting it. I wanted to do something different so I went with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Aubusson Blue. I sanded it smooth after two coats and then decided on a dark wax. That did the trick because it added so much depth to the color and made it much prettier & richer. I sealed it in Annie Sloan Clear Wax. The inside is painted in Annie Sloan Old Ochre. This one is for sale in my Etsy Shop, Colorful Home Designs.
